Even the most casual watcher of Duct Wars can't help but notice that there is a great deal of technology used in the movie that hasn't been invented yet. Still, some of it seems vaguely familiar, as though it had been seen in another movie at some point... Brush that feeling off and dive into these explanations of the various types of tools that the Ductorian Warriors and their enemies use.

Duct Sabers

Perhaps the most noticeable item of technology present in Duct Wars is the duct saber. These weapons, wielded by both the skilled Ductorian Warriors and their enemies, are a powerful ally to the fighter who holds the knowledge of how to use them. The inner workings of these energy swords are extremely complicated, and only a masterful Ductorian weapons specialist understands them fully. Image 1 - Image 2 - Image 3

Duct Daggers

Closely related to the duct saber, the duct dagger is simply a shorter version of that item. It uses less energy and takes up less space, and is therefore carried by some Ductorian warriors as backup weapons in case the unspeakable were to happen and they were to lose their duct saber. Trebor's duct dagger saved his life at least once, but it ended up being the very weapon that killed him. Katano was a master of the duct dagger, and used it in several cases, most notably in his battle against the Silver Enemy, or Shlim.

Ductorian Grenade

The ductorian grenade is a concentrated bundle of ductorian energy. In the wise words of Quibær, the weapons specialist, "All you do is bop it here, and in four seconds it will explode." Christo made good use of the ductorian grenade in his fight against the evil danbots in the Shinubi forest, using its power to destroy several of the evil machines. This device, however, is dangerous to anyone nearby in that it explodes with deadly force in all directions. As a result, only trained ductorians use it.

Duct Cannon

The most powerful of all portable ductorian weapons is undisputably the duct cannon. This weapon's massive power is capable of destroying nearly any target, as was sufficiently demonstrated by Christo when he used it to destroy the huge monster that had been terrorizing the inhabitants of the Shinubi forest. Extremely dangerous in the wrong hands, it is a great asset to the Ductorian people in the right hands. Image 1 - Image 2

Duct Blaster

The duct blaster is a handy weapon for any ductorian warrior to have. Though it is not as powerful as the duct saber, its range is much greater and the warrior can use it to destroy targets from quite a distance. Christo used his to destroy multiple danbots in his mission to the Shinubi forest. Combining pinpoint accuracy with deadly force, this weapon is truly a formidible opponent to anyone who would dare oppose a Ductorian warrior.

The Special Ball

In every council chamber, in every spacecraft, in every ductorian home, they are found. These "special balls" are indeed an important element of Ductorian life and culture, and indeed are a military and civilian necessity. They serve as communication devices, linking directly to the thoughts of whoever is touching them and communicating whatever is desired directly to whoever is on the other end. Battle information, fleet coordination, and future planning are entirely dependent on the presence of a special ball. The evil masked people use similar technology, but as they try to use it for evil purposes, it is not nearly as effective.

Holograms

Occasionally in Duct Wars, face-to-face communication is accomplished through the utilization of hologram technology. Three-point projector systems and optical manipulation atmospheric gas introduction allow the image to appear to be in three dimensions, and people or creatures very far away from each other can communicate with no difficulty or trouble at all. Holographic Droid

When the Ductorian councilmembers decided to ask Trebor to help them fight the masked people, they decided to first test him by using a holographic droid. When he saw the droid, he went after it and destroyed it. So the council accomplished their goal without anyone getting hurt or killed. The droid operates under the same technology as the other holograms, but has a remote concealable three-point projector (RC3P²) and has solidifying technology operating on the principle of ion-collection repolarization and artificial gravitational repulsion mechanisms.

Teleportation

Very frequently, someone in Duct Wars vanishes or appears suddenly in a great flash of light. What is that, you ask? That is a strong example of teleportation. Some ductorians gain the ability to teleport through years of intensive training, like Katano, but most teleportation is done through a device that can be worn on the wrist. Shlim, or the Silver Enemy, takes the latter approach. Teleportation makes battles more intense and exciting for the viewer, more difficult for the fighters. No one knows exactly how mental teleportation works, but mechanical teleportation uses a material analasys and encoding lock to disassemble and then reassemble the person and his/her clothing. The location change is controlled through a thought-reading device.

K-Wing Fighters

The K-wing fighter is the most advanced personal fighter craft currently in use. Its advanced technology and the skilled pilots led to victory in the great Battle of Duct Tape vs. Masking Tape, as seen in Duct Wars II, part III on the downloads page. These craft were new for this battle, and they served their purpose well. So well, in fact, that only one of the K-wings was destroyed, and that was attributed to pilot error. Its specifications are as follows:
Personal K-class fighter spacecraft. Nine-point thrust propulsion based on two cold fusion reactor (CFR) drive engines. Two matter intake valves. Atmospheric aerodynamic gliding capability. Duel crystal-capacitor hyper blasters charged by CFRs with triple discharge ports located in leading edge of each wing.
Further technological innovations may lead to better spacecraft in the future, but for now the K-wing fighter is above and beyond the call of duty, and it is difficult to concieve of a task that it couldn't handle. Schematic - View Animation

Skull-Class Masked Fighter

The woefully underpowered Masking Tape counterpart to the K-wing fighter was the Masked Empire's Skull-class fighter. These pitiful junk heaps fell apart at the slightest touch of the mighty K-wing blasters. Though their technology is still a secret of the Masked Empire, it is doubtful that anyone on the side of Duct Tape would be interested in it, as it wasn't very effective. It is rumored that the failure was due to a Masking Tape Drive Engine. View Animation - Image 1

Space Carrier

Being short-range fighters, the k-wings can't just fly wherever they need to go. As a result, they are transported on a large, long-range space carrier. This carrier can hold as many as 28 craft on two levels. The top level can be completely removed if fewer than 15 craft are being transported. This vessel has more than four hundred times the range of the K-wing fighters, both because it is able to carry more fuel and more powerful engines and because it uses a different type of engine, namely a quintuple-passthrough fusion antimatter generator and a second-stage reaction energy capture process. This ship can maintain light speeds for up to two years without refueling. View Animation

DANbots

Perhaps the most feared and recognized of all the Masked Empire's technological devices, these robots carry out all the evil tasks assigned to them with coldblooded determination. They are referred to as danbots, which is short for D.A.N.bots, which itself is an acronym for Digital Annihilation Necrobots. These fierce machines can only be destroyed by skillful trained Ductorian Warriors, and are a great threat to anyone else. Christo demonstrates his adeptness at destroying these murderous androids in his escapades in the Shinubi Forest. Katano is also able to destroy them, as is seen in an early scene where he nonchalantly destroys one with a sharp blow from the elbow. But still, in his own words, "They can take out an entire village if the people are not properly trained." View Animation

The Silver Mask

In Trebor's flashback, Shlim appears when Trebor finds his dead mother and makes a mysterious statement: "Don't expect to be seeing your daddy any time soon. ...At least not face to face!" Though the meaning of this statement is not obvious at first, it makes more sense later on when we discover that the Silver Alien is Trebor's father. Shlim imprisoned him in the evil Silver Mask, which forces the ordinary person to do evil things they wouldn't ordinarily do, and from which Trebor's father could not escape. Trebor's father's willpower, however, was stronger than the Masked Empire had originally predicted, and he broke the spell of the evil mask and acted as a secret informer to the Ductorian People through Christo. When The Mask realized that the Silver Alien had become good, he sent Shlim to kill him and take the mask and act in the Silver Alien's place. Thus Shlim became the Silver Enemy and his evil powers were augmented by the silver mask.

The Masked Space Station

This seemingly powerful space station in fact held a rather weak collection of ships, a semi-armada that lost the Duct Tape - Masking Tape war. Indeed, most of the effort that went into the construction of the space station went into making its exterior as impressive as possible, a goal that was certainly met, but which availed them not in the crucial moments of the war. No, this station was rather weak. It had no propulsion system of its own, and was forced to remain orbiting a single planet. It had very few and very weak defense systems, mere turbolaser mark IIs. It was the sheer backing of evil power that kept the Masked race in the game, and it nearly led them to victory. But good, as always, prevailed over evil in the end. View Animation

Duct Tape

And finally, we come to that seemingly magical substance which holds the entire Ductorian Universe together, even if the Masked people were too blinded by their own tape to see it. Duct Tape is what gives a Ductorian Warrior his power. Its unfaltering, indestructable strength gives him that same strength and power. If you watch closely, you will see Duct Tape throughout the Duct Wars saga. Its subtle presence makes the world of Duct Wars possible for your enjoyment. mercury, the plane that went to shinubi forest in DWI, communicator wristwatches,
