Thresh Article in 'The Times'

   Its taken the UK broadsheet newpaper (in case you didnt know!), The Times, almost a year (or is it more?) but the've finally got a full page spread in the technolgy supplement about Thresh winning that lovely red Ferrari off John Romero. Its a good read, shame about their obvious lack of recent/technical knowledge I'll try and get some scans as soon as possible.

Skins and whatnot

   A new site dedicated to archiving skins and levels called The Skins and Level Archive has opened. They need to be hosted too. Geocities isn't too crazy about archiving stuff.

Chuck Jones Interview

   There is a new interview with Valve's Chuck Jones over at Valveworld you go directly to the interview here. Its not directed towards Half-Life itself, rather more towards Chuck and his work with Valve and which direction he sees 1st person 3D Shooters going towards.

Game Of The Month! 96%

   PC Gamer UK awarded Half-Life 96% in their new December issue. And also the prestigous title of Game Of The Month. In a five sided review of the game they raved on and on about the engrossing nature of the game, the variety of creatures and the pant-wetting special effects! A few choice phrases which I'll quote are;

'...the 3D shooter debate is no loger about Quake II versus Unreal. Half-Life silences all dissent by being so utterly and resoundingly better than either of them that its difficult to come to terms with. Attempting to do so can only lead to one conclusion.
HALF-LIFE IS THE BEST 3D GAME IN EXISTANCE.'

MOMENTS OF PURE TERROR ARE AN OCCUPATIONAL HAZARD

3D LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN QUITE THIS PERFECT. MAKE SURE YOU LIVE IT.

   So basically PC Gamer UK loves it, and this spotlight will, I'm sure, spread the awareness of the games complexity and pure adrenaline nature all over the UK.

   Roll on release day!

Gunman Conversion & Stuff

   It was a while ago, but once upon a time the Gunman Project was for Quake, then it changed to Quake II and now its for Half-Life. I just checked out the newest screenshots over on the Gunman Website and woah! Are they COOL!

   That conversion will be something to watch out for, thats for sure. Also, there is another new HL Squad, Fallout hosted by Blackmesa Half-Life.
