I can't believe how bad the end sequence is for half life. Don't get me wrong, Half Life is a blinder of a game but after you've slogged your way through all the gargantuas, tentacles and whatever you expect a little bit more. Surely sierra could have done better after all that we went through. I was there for almost three hours trying to kill that damn baby thing, only to be greeted with a less than impressive end sequence. I won't give it away for those of you who haven't finished it yet but I garentee you won't be pleased. Well, at least the multiplayer still kicks ass.

hey "ch", you have to go back to the silo and to the bottom floor of the silo. watch out for falling debris. kill monsters. go to room with big pit and hooks. save your game. be careful in the elevator. it falls. when it almost hits the acid, jump onto the ledge out the front of the elevator.you figure the rest out. its not hard.

Love the game!!! I have a network set up with four computers in one room. Not that I would complain about such a kickass game but will you make it so that a multiplayer game will have Ai controlled enemies in it? this game has replaced Quake2 with my group of battlers but they are wineing about no computer guys to kill.

Half-Life hasn't been released in the UK yet (coming out this Friday, can't wait), but I have been looking forward to it since I read the review in PC Gamer (December issue). So I have been on the rounds of sites and even sent an email to Planetquake asking their views on the game, but I haven't received a reply yet (obviously). I don't like looking at the screen shots much because they don't do any game justice (Just look at Manic Miner!), so I have been reading the scant news. I am very sure it will speed up a lot within the next couple of weeks and I look forward to playing and gibbing those out there already. See you soon.

First off, this is a great site! Now, my friends got me into Quake II to play on our school network (naughty, naughty...) and that was my first experience with a first-person shooter. I loved the multi-player, but the single-player was incredibly weak. I'm used to RPG's and flight/space sims, so I've gotten so I like a good plot. Half-life has a totally wicked plot, plus the timing of the game and scripted events are perfect. I was in the U.S. Infantry, and this game immediately put me into escape & evade mode like I had been trained, purely by reflex. I will measure all first-person shooters up to Half-Life from now on!!
