IRC interview
TONIGHT, Friday the 13th, at 8:30 EST/5:30 PST there will be a Gold celebration party on the undernet in channel #valve. If you want a question asked, please mail Mike, from the Daily Death, with them.
Coder needed
No, not for a mod, but HEC (Half-life Editing Center) is looking for someone tp be part of the page, who can write code and review other code related mods. Mail RageX if you're interested.
Dank and Scud do Half-life
Sven from Atomic Half-life sent notice that
Dank and Scud have finally made it home from the Quake/Quake2
dimension but have ended up in the whole Half-life mess. Very funny, so if you have some bandwidth to spare
check it out.
Clan recruitment
Our hosted clan, The Elite Vipers, are looking for some members, so if you're still undecided, head on over.

GOLD
Yes, it has gone gold. I got an e-mail from Gabe and another from HardSide of 3D Unlimited
Here's the message I got from Gabe:
Half-Life has gone gold, and is in manufacturing.
I'd like to say how extraordinarily grateful all of us here at Valve are
for the support and enthusiasm you have shown Half-Life over the last
two years. We are very proud of the product, and hope it lives up to
your expectations.
Sierra will be sending out a media alert tomorrow giving more details on
the street date.
Please forward to anyone I missed in the Half-Life community. My
apologies for missing them, but I was in a hurry as I wanted to make
sure you all were the first to know.

Thresh's sites and stuff
runabout from the Daily Death sent word of Thresh's new page:
I wanted to pass along word that I'll be launching a new site at around noon
EST today called "Thresh's FiringSquad" (Who'd have thought? :)) It's a
site focused mainly on hardware and game reviews. The lil' twist we give it
is that for every product we review, we'll have two perspectives - One, from
a gamer's perspective (myself), and the other from a hardware-techie
perspective (Kenn). We've always felt (and as evidenced by the constant
references by Tom's Hardware and Anand to gaming) that hardware and gaming
are very inter-related.
The site will launch with a few reviews (one being a huge Half-Life Preview
since we had the opportunity to spend several days at Valve playtesting
Half-Life before it went gold) and a weekly debate (this week's being on the
recently hip topic: USB vs. PS/2 mice). While a mention on your page would
be great, I would also appreciate it if you had the time to take a look
around the site and gave some feedback on what you like and dislike about
it. The site is at: http://www.firingsquad.com
Cheers!

New Site
A new 'in-house' mod oriented site called deCyber Halflife was mentioned on
Twisted Half-life. A nice site that has experience with Duke3D through Unreal.

Found on Scary's
Clan ULV Review
Heard somewhere on IRC that Clan ULV has a review of Half-life up. A nice read.
