More Tutorials

Wavelength, in particular Hellbringer's domain of levels seem to of amassed a wealth of MOD making information over the past few weeks, especially after a few visits to Valve's offices in Seattle.

Especially of note is a tutorial of how to make an Osprey carrying a cargo of troops, (like at the end of We've Got Hostiles) download it from here. Also reading a little from his article on the news page about his trip to Valve it would appear that the SDK is going to be one humungous resource! ...apparently its even going to be 'easy' to get to grips with. Now I guess its time to start leanring how to code!

Calling all Clans

A really innovative site has just opened called The Half-life War Department. Here's some stuff I ripped off Atomic
I have finally finished my contribution to the Half-Life community. I've put much thought and time into this site and hope you'll like what I've concocted.
Well, to get right to the point, it's called the Half-Life War Department (HWD) and it's been created for the purpose of allowing for a place where participating Half-Life clans that have become a part of the HWD are randomly placed into three teams called factions (Military, Security Guard, or Scientists) and pitted against each other in combat lasting a certain amount of days.
Also, if a person isn't part of a clan, or their clan isn't participating in the war games, they can still join. They'll then be put into the HWD clan called "The Individuals", and if somewhere along the line their Half-Life clan decides to join the HWD, then they'll be placed with their companions.
I think I should make you aware of a problem with the URL. For some odd reason you have to copy and paste it, 'cause it won't find the site unless you do this, even if you do type it exactly as you see it. Strange if you ask me. Anyway, later.
Oh, yeah, the site is here.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at leisenring@infoblvd.net and I'll get back to you. Later.

Coolies! Waiting for EVERYTHING!

Well I think that the last few days excitment have only really been equal to that of the games initial release! What with the announcement that Classic TeamFortress (see screenshot right) is going to be converted to Half-Life as a free addon and with the release of the 1.0.0.8 patch whic has smoothed out Internet play so excellently... (find out the improvements)

... I ask you. Can it get any better??? !!!

Well the simple answer is YES!, by the end of this month (apparently) we should see the release of both Classic TeamFortress and the Half-life SDK (software development kit) which will let us get our dirty paws onto some true Half-life MODS both PCs and TCs. In fact click here to view the complete list of current Half-Life modifications underway, over at Wavelength.

A quick note to people hosting primary servers, WON have updated the program, so if you have a permanent connection, download the updated program now.
